Materials
Size 3.50 mm hook.
8 ply yarn.
Difficulty: Easy. Size: New Born
Abbreviations:

TRBL= yarn over hook, insert hook into stitch, pull yarn through stitch, (3 loops on hook) yarn over hook, pull through 2 loops, yarn over hook, pull through 2 loops again.

HTRBL= yarn over hook, insert hook into stitch, pull yarn through stitch, (3 loops on hook) yarn over hook, pull through all 3 loops.

DC= insert hook into stitch, pull yarn through stitch, (2 loops on hook) pull yarn through 2 loops.

Beginning at crown

1st Row Ch 4, work 15 TRBL in first Ch, join to Ch 3. (16 TRBL)

2nd Row Ch 3, TRBL in same space as joining Ch, 2 TRBL in each TRBL Stitch around, join to Ch 3. (32 TRBL)

3rd Row Ch 3, TRBL in next Stitch, *2 TRBL in next Stitch, TRBL in next 2 Stitches* repeat from *to* around, join to Ch 3.
4th Row Ch 3, TRBL in next 36 St’s Ch 3 turn (37 St’s)

Shell Pattern

5th Row 1 TRBL in 2nd TRBL from hook, miss 2

Sew in loose ends

Shell Border

Rejoin yarn to other side of beginning 17 chain.

I love the mitten pattern. Thank you so much. My daughter is having her first baby and I can't wait. She lost her first one do to a blood disorder but this baby girl is doing great. She is do August 13, 2009.
